The Youth Unemployment Problem
It is 2020 and Ugandan youth are facing unprecedented levels of unemployment; 64% to 70% according to ACFODE in 2014. To help reduce youth unemployment, we are embarking on the “Improving Youth Employment Outcomes Project” – IYEO.
Our Solution
The purpose of this project is to help youth successfully launch themselves by equipping them with skills they need to join the workforce. We hope to create an environment where youth prosper. Youth have a lot of potential; we want to help them harness it.
Our Programs
Équipe Ubuntu has developed 2 step-by-step programs designed to help graduates prepare and position themselves better for employment. In the event that they cannot find jobs, we equip them with entrepreneurial skills to help them start and run their own businesses.
